4 scientific outlooks of Buddhism...

Buddhism, that oldest world religion, is generally misconceived to be a blind faith. Some say, Buddhism is a superstitious faith.Depending on what sense Religion is defined, Buddhism may be called religion or non-religion.If religion broadly defined, refers to some school of teaching, then Buddhism is a religion. In China, some scientists and engineers were not only devout Buddhist but also conversant with Buddhist scriptures. This is an eloquent proof that Buddhist theories can be tested and corroborated by science.
1) Buddhism as a Rational religion...

We are subjected to various sort of illusions in daily life. Early people thought that there was two sun, there were conceptions that the earth is flat, square and standing still, all this misconceptions and errors of illusion were rectified by Buddhism. Buddhist conception of everything is complete and all-inclusive.
Buddhism gives the idea that, besides "good" and "evil", there is the "indefinite" which is neither good nor evil. In algebra, it is differentiated as integrals, negative and zero. All this shows that Buddhism is complete and all-embracing and in some respects, its is above common sense.
2)The Research Spirit of Buddhism.

Buddhism teaches us not only to believe but also to doubt, thus it says, "The greater doubt, the greater understanding, the less doubt, the less understanding, and no doubt, no understanding."
Question everything...
Buddhism says that, once you are in doubt, keep it up with full attention, until at advanced level f development, your mind is completely clear. The research work of Buddhism is extraordinary and broadly extensive for it covers both the material and psychological phenomena of the world.Buddha says, scientists are not so much concerned with the WHY questions, but they are more concerned with "WHAT" questions.
3) The Buddhist theory of equality.

The sutra says, " mind, Buddha, and sentient beings are all at parity with one another". The sense of compassion, shame, right & wrong is for everyone; and the sense of humility is in everyone. This may be said to be in line with the Buddhist theory that the four functions of SENSATION, CONCEPTION, VOLITION, and CONSCIOUSNESS are common to everyone, whether its a human being or animal, all are sensitive to pain and pleasure. From this standpoint of Buddhism, to believe in God or any deity to be higher than sentient beings runs counter to the principle of universal Equality.
4) The positive spirit of Buddhism.

According to the general conception, "positive" means striving, bold, going forward and discontented and in contrast "negative" means indolent, timid, retreating and contented. Buddhism is generally misconceived to be of pessimistic and passive nature, but its a Rational religion. Buddhist monks live in secluded places, where they are free of temptations and obstructions, where they can carry on their spiritual cultivation vigorously with undivided attention. Their role is more important than that of statesmen and educationalists, they keep themselves away from society, they may appear to be passive and socially inactive, but they were moving towards the path of Enlightenment. According to Buddha, the path of Enlightenment should be the most desirable thing in our life but we desire for wealth and fame, which let us carve for more and more things.
